Learning and Development at Frontline
As a major UK distributor of magazines at the forefront of industry thinking and innovation, Frontline invests in its people through a wide range of Learning and Development opportunities. How we invest in Learning and Development at Frontline changes each year to ensure the opportunities support the challenges we face. Each year there is a review of the requirements at individual, departmental and company wide levels. Some core strands include:Inductions
Individual, bespoke induction plans are implemented by our people managers to ensure that everyone, upon joining Frontline, gains a real insight into what we do and how their role contributes to our success.
Coaching
We have a number of accredited coaches at Frontline who provide goal driven coaching. This challenges and enables Frontline people to find their own solutions and achieve higher levels of personal and professional performance. Coaching sessions represent development opportunities for everyone at Frontline.
Industry level opportunities
Every year a number of Frontliners attend industry training events to ensure they maintain their excellent market knowledge.
Professional qualifications and training
We recognise that for particular roles in Frontline it is important that professional qualifications and training are undertaken.
Learning Lunches and Workshops
We believe in sharing knowledge, skills and expertise across the business. A learning and development initiative that provides an opportunity to do this is our learning lunches and workshops. By utilising internal expertise courses in topics from software skills, understanding our supply chain and goal setting are based on demand and open to everyone.
Managers at Frontline
Having the best people managers is vitally important to the success of Frontline. To support those taking on line management responsibility we regularly run accredited Management Development Programmes.
Preparing for change and challenge
Each year we consider what will enable our people to grow their expertise further, challenge their thinking and provide them with real development opportunities. In 2011 this included Advanced Negotiation, The Winning Edge and numerous technical skills courses.
