BBC
Through our magazines business we support BBC programmes via a range of popular titles including Top Gear, Radio Times, Good Food and BBC History magazines. As the UK’s 3rd largest magazine publisher, we sell more than 50 regular titles and over 82 million copies per year.
BBC Magazines is also the UK’s largest publisher of children’s titles, including titles such as CBeebies Weekly, In the Night Garden, Doctor Who Adventures and Match of the Day. We are also the UK's number one publisher in terms of subscriptions (the UK publisher with the highest number of subscriptions to our titles). We help to extend viewers and listeners enjoyment of BBC output by providing expert information, features and interviews – deepening the connection with our audiences.
Our customers and audiences are at the heart of everything we do and we pride ourselves on producing magazines of the highest quality across a wide range of interests to appeal to all ages. In other words, we make magazines for life.
As the largest and most trusted Pre-school publisher in the UK, our titles provide a unique environment where parents and children read together.
Our adult titles are centred around our readers’ passions – from inspiring ideas for beautiful homes and gardens to entertainment and education.
This business also publishes several of the UK’s most popular magazine websites including radiotimes.com, topgear.com , gardenersworld.com and bbcgoodfood.com.
A joint venture with Haymarket Exhibitions stages consumer shows such as BBC Good Food and Gardeners World Live. Over 270,000 visitors took the opportunity to attend these exhibitions last year to meet well-known presenters and gain a closer insight into their favourite programmes.
Internationally, we license titles to other publishers in over 55 territories around the globe. Worldwide Media, our joint venture with The Times of India, has a consumer magazine business based in Mumbai, which is growing rapidly and is a gateway for other international publishers to enter this market.
